Having struggled with three losses in a row, North Callaway finally turned things around against Lebanon on Saturday. They blew past the Yellowjackets 12-5. The Thunderbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.
Lauren Speight spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits. Those seven innings set a new season-high mark for her.
