The Barker Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Medina 59-55. Barker was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Medina apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Leading Medina to victory were Jerrell Nealy and Christian Moss. Nealy scored 20 points along with eight rebounds, while Moss dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Nealy has scored at least a third of Medina's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Callard, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Barker and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Medina, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Barker will head out on the road to take on Royalton-Hartland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Medina, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Wilson at 6:30 p.m.
