The Pine Bush Bushmen lost against the Port Jervis Raiders back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Pine Bush had to suffer through a rough 69-41 loss at the hands of Port Jervis. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pine Bush has scored all season.
Isaiah Boucher was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with eight assists and five rebounds for Port Jervis. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Boucher has scored at least 25% of Port Jervis' points. Another player making a difference was Carroll Dolshun, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Pine Bush now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Port Jervis, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
Pine Bush will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Washingtonville at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Port Jervis will finish 2023 at home by hosting East Stroudsburg North at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (East Stroudsburg North is ranked 307th in Pennsylvania, while Port Jervis is ranked 332nd in New York).
