While losing is never fun, St. Michael's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 909th, while San Marcos HomeSchool is ranked 77th).
Meanwhile, Hyde Park had to suffer through a rough 88-41 loss at the hands of Cornerstone Christian. Hyde Park has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Michael's has been struggling recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Hyde Park, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
Everything came up roses for St. Michael's against Hyde Park in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 63-23 win. Will St. Michael's repeat their success, or does Hyde Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
