Marion P. Thomas scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 90-72 victory over People's Prep. The win was just what Marion P. Thomas needed coming off of a 75-53 defeat in their prior contest.
Marion P. Thomas found their leader in underclassman Nairi Latham, who scored 52 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Latham has scored at least a third of Marion P. Thomas' points.
Marion P. Thomas' win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for People's Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion P. Thomas will face off against Eagle Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. People's Prep is on the road again on Friday and plays University Academy Charter at 4:00 p.m. on February 9th. People's Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
