The Atlantic Sharks won the last time they faced the University Titans, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Atlantic walked away with a 44-37 victory over the Titans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Atlantic.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Atlantic to victory, but perhaps none more so than VANESSA SPADA, who scored six points along with 34 rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that SPADA pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aurielle Reavis, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
University's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Hall, who scored 12 points. Chaviany Nelson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
The win got Atlantic back to even at 10-10. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Satellite is ranked 423rd, while the Sharks are ranked 404th). As for University, they will head out on the road to take on the Wolf Pack at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
