Reagan Law was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lauren Latour, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tatiana Maltez-Rosales, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Centennial, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over Long Reach on Friday.
Like Atholton, Centennial also got a great game from a two-way player: Audray Zheng. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Zheng has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Maddie Reese was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Aleshia Kesar was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Centennial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Atholton's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Centennial, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Atholton's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's contest. The Raiders have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Centennial, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Atholton continue to outrun the ball?
Atholton beat Centennial 10-7 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
