The North Saxons will square off against the Cerritos Dons at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Tuesday, North made easy work of Leuzinger and carried off a 9-3 victory. The Saxons haven't had any issues with the Olympians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Kloie Iboy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, North got a big performance out of Brooklyn Ghilardi, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those runs marked the first that Ghilardi has scored this season. Another player making a difference was AJ (Audriana) Bocanegra, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cerritos, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Loara 14-4 on Wednesday. With that victory, the Dons brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Like North, Cerritos also got a great game from a two-way player: Alexis Ceron. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Ceron was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, Emma Villegas was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Adelyn Archie was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
North's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Cerritos, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Cerritos' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. It's a different story for Cerritos, though, as they've only averaged .356. Will they be able to contain North's hitters?
