The DuVal Tigers will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Bowie Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. Bowie took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on DuVal, who comes in off a win.
DuVal fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Oxon Hill 27-24.
Ahmed Bundu had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Bundu really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Oforbuike Aneke, who rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Bowie's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 24-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eleanor Roosevelt.
DuVal's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Bowie, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
DuVal came out on top in a nail-biter against Bowie in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, sneaking past 16-13. Will DuVal repeat their success, or does Bowie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
