The Riverview Sarasota Rams will take on the Sarasota Sailors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Sarasota will be up against a hot Riverview Sarasota team: the squad just extended their winning streak to nine. Riverview Sarasota's pitcher stepped up to hand Clearwater a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Allison Cole made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sierra Lipton, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nicolette Forkan, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Riverview Sarasota was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Sarasota had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Mustangs as they made off with a 10-0 win.
Not much got past Gemma Mulhollen, who gave up just four hits to keep Lakewood Ranch off the board.
On the hitting side, Sommer Speers was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Williams, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Riverview Sarasota pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sarasota, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Both Riverview Sarasota and Sarasota just can't seem to miss. Riverview Sarasota has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Sarasota struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
