Ashton Woodard was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2025. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Wellborn's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 4-7 when he doesn't).
