Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Wins Going Away Against Valley

Trinity Christian won the last time they faced Valley and things went their way on Wednesday too. Trinity Christian blew past Valley 18-8. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Ethan Hartley was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-5.

In other batting news, Trinity Christian got a massive performance out of Parker Hopkins, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases Hopkins has posted since back in April of 2024. Nathan Adams was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Trinity Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive matchups.

Trinity Christian's record now sits at 4-1. As for Valley, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will venture away from home to challenge Notre Dame at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Valley, they will head out to face off against St. Marys at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
