The Lutheran North Mustangs won the last time they faced the Marine City Mariners, and things went their way on Monday too. Lutheran North enjoyed a cozy 57-41 win over Marine City.
It was another big night for Joshua Brown, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. Brayden Monroe was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
Lutheran North's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Marine City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran North's road trip will continue as they head out to face Divine Child at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for Marine City, they will square off against Marysville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marysville and Marine City are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
