It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Zephyrhills Bulldogs can now relate to. They fell 55-47 to the Wildcats on Saturday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Zephyrhills in their matchups with Wesley Chapel: they've now lost four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wesley Chapel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Hicks, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Hicks is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Murray, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Zephyrhills' defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Wesley Chapel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.
Zephyrhills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wesley Chapel also has no future games currently scheduled.
