After flying high against Deer Creek on Tuesday, Park City came back down to earth. The Miners took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Layton Lancers on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Layton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laney Pendleton, who had six digs and three aces. Ryann Bingham was another key player, getting seven assists and four aces.
Park City now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Layton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Layton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Viewmont on the 28th.
