First Assembly Christian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,578 from 9,852. The improvement came about via a 49-6 victory over the Crusaders last week.
Southern Baptist's Pk Pearson and Grant Kimberlin have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Division II A - West District 1 in both passing and receiving yards. Pearson has thrown for 988 yards this season, while Kimberlin, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 34 catches for 518 yards. First Assembly Christian's Kortney Morris leads the league in rushing yards with 271.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Trojans take on Evangelical Christian. As it stands, Southern Baptist is in second, while the Eagles are in third.
