Greenfield is 0-3 against Alisal since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Greenfield Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Alisal Trojans at 3:30 p.m.
Last Saturday, Greenfield took a serious blow against Palma, falling 66-35. Greenfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Alisal really took it to Gonzales for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-37 win on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-23.
Alisal can attribute much of their success to Adrian Cardenas, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 assists, and Gregory Cabrera, who scored 19 points along with 6 steals. Jose Cruz was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Greenfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Alisal, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Greenfield was taken down by Alisal 71-30 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Greenfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
