Cole won the last time they faced Del Rio and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cougars blew past the Rams 66-41. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Cole's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nolan Richardson, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards. Richardson has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Aric Powell, who shot 86% from the field to rack up 13 points and four steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Cole and bumps their season record up to 8-1. As for Del Rio, they moved to 8-3 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Coming up, Cole will be taking part in a tournament against Santa Gertrudis Academy at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Del Rio, they will take on Flour Bluff in a tournament on Thursday. The Rams will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
