Softball Recap: Hillsboro Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Hillsboro waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Alvarado Indians get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Kimber Barnes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Cloe Creech also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Hillsboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Hillsboro's record is now 9-5. As for Alvarado, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Hillsboro will head out to square off against Life Waxahachie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alvarado, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Venus at 6:30 p.m. on the 17th.
