The Salpointe Catholic Lancers have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paradise Honors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Salpointe Catholic of the 60-59 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Salpointe Catholic's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Omar Rasul, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caiden Johnson, who scored eight points along with three steals.
David Leszczynski had a dynamite game for Paradise Honors, scoring 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Leszczynski has scored all season. Thomas Moore was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Salpointe Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Paradise Honors, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.
Salpointe Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Paradise Honors also has no future games currently scheduled.
