The Huntington Raiders won the last time they faced the Bossier Bearkats, and things went their way on Thursday too. Huntington blew past Bossier, posting a 44-6 victory on the road. Given Huntington's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Bossier is ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Huntington was led to victory by Landon Gibbs and Kaleb Tucker. Gibbs threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, while Tucker picked up 48 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Huntington's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Nehemiah Barrett and his two sacks.
Huntington's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.67 points. As for Bossier, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Huntington will look to defend their home field on November 10th against Woodlawn-B.R. at 7:00 p.m. Bossier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
