The Ferris Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 67-38 loss at the hands of Alvarado. Ferris has not had much luck with Alvarado recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Candra Bridgewater continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Alvarado, scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists. That's the first time this season that Bridgewater posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Joslyn Jarmon, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
Ferris has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Alvarado, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-14.
Ferris will head out on the road to face off against Life Waxahachie at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Waxahachie is on a six-game streak of home losses, Ferris a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Alvarado will take on Venus at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Venus will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1077th, while Alvarado is ranked 464th).
