Xavier Vickerstaff and Joey Gioitta were among the main playmakers for Mayfield as the former scored 12 points and the latter scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Jones, who scored eight points.
Even though North has not done well against South recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. North took down South 68-54. The win made it back-to-back wins for North.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sean Register Jr, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Register Jr has scored at least a third of North's points. Nate Tadiello was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds.
Mayfield's win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-12. As for North, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
