With a big week,
West jumped into the top 25 in the state rankings. West moved up from No. 28 in the state all the way to No. 25 thanks to a 4-1 record over the past week. Led by manager Chris Hawkins, the Wildcats are ranked No. 521 in the nation with an overall record of 28-7.
The league's top two teams in the standings locked horns this week, as West took home a 9-3 victory over Bloomington on Tuesday.
Bloomington is now in first place at 11-2 in Big Twelve and 28-6 overall.
MacArthur boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. The Generals' pitchers have been charged with only 238 hits and have struck out 117 batters.
Gavin Kitson is tops on the staff with 34 Ks.
MacArthur, the season leader in runs scored at 121, added to its total with a league-high 42 runs this week.
Phillip Ganley leads the team with 21 runs scored and
Phillip Ganley has a team-high 17 RBIs on the year.
The week's strikeout crown belonged to Kitson, who turned in eight Ks for MacArthur. With 34 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks first in the league.
Ganley led the league with 11 hits this week for the Generals. On the season, he's hitting .368 and ranks first in the league with 32 hits.
