It was a Battle of the Birds when Fairfield faced off against Fremont on Tuesday. The Falcons blew past the Eagles 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Fairfield walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-15.

Fairfield has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Fremont, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Fairfield is taking a road trip to face off against Wawasee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fremont, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian at 7:00 p.m.
