David Connors made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mathew Geer, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Jacob Lazear was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Oak Glen was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They lost 12-2 to Berkeley Springs.
Cam Carter was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
Madonna's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.
