Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Belgreen's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

It's playoff time, and Belgreen had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against Lamar County by a score of 14-9 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what Belgreen needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Kendra Williams was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Bryn Scott was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.

Belgreen is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-16 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Lamar County, their loss dropped their record down to 19-19.

As of now, neither Belgreen nor Lamar County have any future games scheduled.
