Grapeland came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 67-58 win over the Buffalo Bison. Given the Sandies' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Bison are ranked 963rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grapeland's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Buffalo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grapeland and Madisonville will round out the year against one another at at 2:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Buffalo, they will head out on the road to challenge Connally at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
