The Frederick Fraize Aces scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 44-36 victory over Fort Campbell. That's another feather in the cap for Frederick Fraize, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fort Campbell lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Madison Newingham, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Rosella Rajj, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Even though they lost, Fort Campbell were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Frederick Fraize's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2. As for Fort Campbell, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frederick Fraize will take on Hancock County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Campbell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Community Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Community Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
