If the MaxPreps national rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Colome. They will be playing at home against Avon at at 7:00 PM on Friday. Colome have bulldozed their previous seven opponents, so Avon might have their hands full.
Last Friday, Colome put the finishing touches on their 7th blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Corsica/Stickney 60-8. No one put up better numbers for Colome than senior Jackson Kinzer, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 175 yards and 4 touchdowns. Kinzer has been a consistent playmaker for Colome as this was the 7th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Avon suffered a grim 20-46 defeat to Scotland. This makes it the second loss in a row for Avon.
Colome's victory lifted them to 7-0 while Avon's defeat dropped them down to 1-6. Colome have been dynamite on the offensive side of the ball, averaging 61.43 points per game. We'll see if Avon can find some way to disarm them.
