On Monday, Silex took a serious blow against Montgomery County, falling 63-33. Silex has struggled against Montgomery County recently, as their game on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Van-Far's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 48-27 loss at the hands of North Callaway.
Silex's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Van-Far, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-5.
Silex strolled past Van-Far in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 49-31. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Van-Far's Mara Jensen, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
