The Dymally Challengers managed to keep up with the Cathedral Phantoms until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Dymally's tough 56-36 defeat to Cathedral might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Dymally has suffered since December 29, 2023.
Several Challengers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gerald Coland, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds. Coland hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Nyzear Hamby was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 17 rebounds.
Dymally's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Cathedral, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
Dymally will square off against Lincoln at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Cathedral, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Varsity Opponent at 10:00 p.m. Varsity Opponent is hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses.
