Verona had lost five games at home, but after bumping their record up to 12-7 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Madison La Follette Lancers with a sharp 9-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

As for Madison La Follette, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14-1. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly eight runs.

For Madison La Follette's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Castro, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double was Castro's first of the season.
