Brimfield is a perfect 3-0 against West Prairie since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Cyclones at 10:00 a.m. Brimfield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
If Brimfield beats West Prairie with 12 runs on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Indians put the hurt on ROWVA/Williamsfield with a sharp 12-5 victory on Thursday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.
Kaeden Schatsiek made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with one home run and four RBI.

Meanwhile, West Prairie fell victim to Cuba/Spoon River Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Wildcats. The Cyclones haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Brimfield pushed their record up to 16-4-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Everything went Brimfield's way against West Prairie in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Brimfield made off with a 19-1 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cyclones turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
