Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Itawamba Agricultural). Their defense stepped up to hand the Shannon Red Raiders a 6-0 shutout on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Indians needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Their offense was hitting Shannon from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Karsten Bailey led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Itawamba Agricultural's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four games. As for Shannon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Itawamba Agricultural will challenge Amory at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shannon, they will face off against Vardaman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
