The Park Hill South Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They put the hurt on Kearney with a sharp 60-36 victory. Given Park Hill South's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 223rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Kearney saw an underclassman step up: Addison Taylor scored 11 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Quick, who scored two points along with seven rebounds.
Park Hill South now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Kearney, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park Hill South will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kearney, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m.
