While not quite a landslide, the matchup between Lake Stevens and Monroe last week was still a pretty decisive one as Lake Stevens wrapped it up with a 49-31 victory. Junior Dallas Landeros was the offensive standout of the match for Lake Stevens, as he rushed for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Mount Vernon and Cascade. Everything went Mount Vernon's way against Cascade as the squad secured a 52-6 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-0.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-0. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
