Basketball Recap: Veritas Collegiate Academy Takes a Loss

The Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 110-109 to Non Varsity Tournament Opponent. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (92), the Spartans still had to take the loss.

Veritas Collegiate Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Marcqell Freeman, who went 15 of 31 en route to 36 points along with seven assists and seven boards. Freeman's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Falcon Green was another key player, going 12 for 22 on his way to 41 points and eight rebounds.

Veritas Collegiate Academy moved to 15-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
