Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Combs + How To Watch

Combs won the last time they faced Coronado and Heather Jo Bush did her part to make sure it happened again. The Coyotes snuck past the Dons with a 35-29 win on Thursday with plenty of help from Bush, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 20 boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Combs' points.

Ambriah Lujan was another key player, putting up nine points and six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.

Coronado's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tressa Rope, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Kaylee Tso, who posted six points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aundrea Rodriguez, who put up two points and eight rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Combs and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Coronado, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Combs has already played their next contest, a 51-45 defeat against Dysart on the 16th. As for Coronado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-29 loss against Saguaro on the 15th.
