The Douglas County Tigers extended their postseason success on Friday against the Sequoyah Chiefs. They blew past the Chiefs 48-14 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Douglas County, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Douglas County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zamarcus (zman) lindley, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. JAMES JOHNSON also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Douglas County's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Sequoyah, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Douglas County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lee County at 7:30 p.m. Lee County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Sequoyah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
