The Kellogg Wildcats suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Grangeville at home and fell 71-40. Kellogg was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-24.
Kellogg lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Macy Jerome, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Stutzke, who scored nine points.
Kellogg's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Grangeville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.
Kellogg will be playing at home against St. Maries at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Maries is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Grangeville, they will head out on the road to square off against Orofino at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Orofino will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Grangeville is ranked ninth).
