The Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs will head out on the road to challenge the Havelock Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Northside - Jacksonville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Northside - Jacksonville was able to grind out a solid win over New Bern, taking the game 64-52. Durice Adamson was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Xavier Ritter was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Havelock's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 56-47 to South Central. Havelock has not had much luck with South Central recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Northside - Jacksonville's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-18. As for Havelock, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
Northside - Jacksonville and Havelock were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January, but Northside - Jacksonville came up empty-handed after a 64-63 loss. Can Northside - Jacksonville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
