Despite the loss, Parker/Marion had strong showings from Braelyn Berens, who had 23 digs and two aces, and Mara Mohr, who had 17 digs and nine assists. Berens has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last nine times she's played.
Meanwhile, Irene/Wakonda lost 3-0 to Gayville-Volin on Tuesday.
While Irene/Wakonda was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-8.
Parker/Marion will need to focus on slowing down Emily Oien, one of several Irene/Wakonda players who made an impact when they last played. She had 15 digs. Another player making a difference was Ava George, who had 13 digs.
Irene/Wakonda's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Parker/Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.
