The Saint Francis Lancers typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Wilcox Chargers proved too difficult a challenge. Everything went Wilcox's way against Saint Francis as Wilcox made off with a 52-28 victory. The result was nothing new for Wilcox, who have now won five contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
Wilcox was led to victory by Tyson Bonilla and Elijah Walker. Bonilla rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry, while Walker rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Walker was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.
Wilcox has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Saint Francis, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.
Wilcox will face off against Serra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Serra is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Saint Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
