Boiling Springs walked away with a 63-54 win over the Greyhounds. Given Boiling Springs' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 620th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boiling Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Ascione, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Richie, who scored 21 points.
Boiling Springs is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Shippensburg, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
Boiling Springs will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Big Spring is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Shippensburg, they will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Dover is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
