The Lindblom Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a tough 57-33 loss at the hands of Simeon. Lindblom has not had much luck with Simeon recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Dijiona Berrien was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds for Simeon. That makes it five consecutive games in which Berrien has scored at least 25% of Simeon's points. Another player making a difference was Mariyah Robinson, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Lindblom's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Simeon, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Lindblom will take on Thornwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Thornwood is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Simeon will be home for the holidays to greet Dyett at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
