North Thurston is 10-0 against Central Kitsap since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The North Thurston Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Central Kitsap Cougars at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Thurston has nine straight wins, Central Kitsap has 15 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
In what's become a running theme this season, North Thurston gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Timberline 67-38 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory North Thurston has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Soraya Ogaldez, who dropped a triple-double on 30 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North Thurston's points. Another player making a difference was Alexis Meyer, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Central Kitsap came up short against Peninsula on Friday and fell 49-36. While losing is never fun, Central Kitsap can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while Peninsula is ranked 85th).
North Thurston's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Central Kitsap, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
Everything came up roses for North Thurston against Central Kitsap in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 71-32 victory. With North Thurston ahead 40-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
