The Hillgrove Hawks fell victim to the McEachern Indians''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Indians 38-0. Hillgrove's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it five in a row.
McEachern can attribute much of their success to Jaydon Kinney, who threw for 258 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes. Dy?lon Womack got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Hillgrove's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for McEachern, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
Hillgrove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McEachern will be playing in front of their home fans against Campbell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Campbell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while McEachern is ranked 34th).
