Erie is 0-4 against Harbor Creek since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Royals will be playing at home against the Huskies at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Erie will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Meadville, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Royals walked away with a 13-10 win over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. With that victory, the Royals brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Hannah Nicklas was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madison Wolfram, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Erie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.8.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harbor Creek). Everything went their way against Warren on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Emma Hirneisen spent all three innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits.
At the plate, Harbor Creek got a massive performance out of Brooklynn Cipalla, who fired off three triples, five RBI, and two runs while going 3-for-3. Kayla Bresee was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Harbor Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Erie, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Erie has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. However, it's not like Harbor Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Erie suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Harbor Creek in their previous meeting on April 8th. Will the Royals have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
