La Plata's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dwayne Liggins, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Cameron Harrold was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for La Plata, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
